If your clients are in the U.S., April is tax time, and consumers tend to
pull back on disgressionary spending then.

Any chance that you sell winter tires?

Seriously, have you been in business long enough to see this every year?

Nearly every business is seasonal. If you sold fishing gear, I
bet you would have seen just the opposite given that fishing
season is right around the corner.

Do you only sell your products through your website?
If you are able to sell your product over the phone, I can suggest trying some new type of advertising during your slow seasons. Have you ever considered Pay Per Call advertising? It basically gives you added online exposure on sites like AOL.com, AOL Yellowpages, Yellowpages.com, Infospace, Switchboard.com, and other search sites....and they drive phone call leads to you.

Check it out: http://www.ppcall.bizhype.com

Good luck!

Re: Slow Business

Every business has predictable slow down periods and then has periods where it is either a lot slower or busier than usual. The trick is to find event points in your target market. For example, if you know that most participants in a retirement plan receive their statements 10 days after quarter end and you sell financial planning you should send out your advertising shortly after that period because the target audience would be more inclined to look at it at that point because they have been sensatized to the issue via their statements. Try to find event points in your target market.
