You mentioned that you supply sanitation. Does that mean portable toilets?
Something else? You also mentioned that you have tried contacting those who
pull new building permits and need to target the commercial customers. I would
guess that most pulling permits already know what companies they plan to use on
that building.
In our area, we have a wonderful builders' association that maintains a list of
members, most of them local builders, remodelers and subcontractors. The
association maintains a very helpful website (
http://bancf.com/ ), and
regularly sends out newsletters that lists newly-joined members. Some of these
are new start-ups - if you have this type of service in your area these would
be wonderful to contact before they establish loyalty with other subs.
You might also make contact with developers in your area. Ride around and see
what's going up where, go to the sites and mingle. Face-to-face is always
better than cold-calling.
