Newsletters

Everything you read online says it is worth putting a newsletter together. What has been your experience? Is it worth it? Did it lead to additional sales?

Re: Newsletters

Yes we found it was a lot of work but we were able to stay in touch with our clients and prospects and keep our name in front of them

Re: Newsletters

We have had mild success with them. Part of the problem is that there are so many newsletters out there that it is getting more and more difficult to get people to sign up.

Re: Newsletters

By putting our newsletter on our home page we were able to increase our PR ranking by one point. Google likes to have fresh content and writing a newsletter takes very little time if you are writing in a field you know a lot about we feel it is definately worth our time.

Re: Newsletters

I think the articles on our homepage helped us with our PR but the real value was when we submitted our newsletters to some of the article sites we got a lot of hits off of the signature lines.

Re: Newsletters

They absolutely are worth the time you just have to make sure that you have the right content there are so many people writing newsletters that it is becoming more challenging. Try subscribing to some that would complement your publication and ask the writer if you can advertise on their newsletter.
