I recently learned of a new company that I found very interesting. It is called Hypedrive. They are a relatively new firm centered around targeted internet marketing. They have an interesting new idea about marketing online. It seems like they are trying to extend traditional word-of-mouth marketing to the internet. They say that they can talk to people for you and drive them to your website. I know they use some paid blogs similar to pay per post. The article also said that have people that are members of social networks who will tell everyone in their network about their clients product/website.
I am currently looking for ways to create a buzz around my website. I have used SEO, ad words, and some other similar routes. I would like to get some opinions on whether or not you think this word of mouth approach is worthy. I am not the most knowledgeable guy when it comes to marketing, or the internet , the article caught my eye.

I would be very leary about these types of services because you do not know the quality of the person that you will be getting, they could be paying people from Pakistan with no intention of buying from you to access your site. It sounds like you are already doing most of the right things.

Well, with the analytical tools available now you can track IP addresses, location of the person, as well as the route they took to get to your site. So, I don't think that would be much of an issue.

I would still be careful all you have to do is google fake IP address and see how easy it is to use a proxy IP address - but who knows? I think the most important factor is whether or not you get more business as the result of your investment, nothing else really matters.

Yeah, that's kinda how I figured it. If they could drive say 200% more traffic to your site then I think it would be a great tool to use.

Ive heard of them . There was an article written in some business magazine a few months ago. I remembered the write up was pretty positive and most of their clients were websites targeted toward college aged kids, just as the other guy said do your research. It does seem pretty innovative, just read the contract twice before you deal with any online marketing company.
