Eziba files bankruptcy because of Failed DM Campaign!

So, the once extremely successful e-commerce venture, Eziba had to declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy and sell its assets to Overstock.com for half a million dollars (Source). The reason - it sent a very large and expensive catalog mailing to a list of infrequent buyers instead of frequent buyers. It turned out that their statistics department was pretty accurate in segmenting its customers.

Perhaps this would teach some companies to double check when mailing out!

While working as a telemarketer, we did a campain for a large industrial supply company. Alot of people we spoke with were very happy about that company and requested catalogs.

Those books were about 6" thick.... I imagine shipping alone on that thing would be expensive.
