It's my opinion that any enterprise that cannot survive in a free market without a hand out should be left to wither and die.

I agree I like NPR but why do we have to finance it look at all the problems BBC has gotten into

I like the idea of using a $25 gift certificate to support a worthwhile cause. Something like cancer research, a cure for AIDS, feeding the hungry, lowering the price of gas! Something that benefits the majority.
NPR only benefits a few, like Ken and Huel.
NPR is already taking government welfare ("tax dollars" your money and mine), which I believe is wrong. Just another form of goverment waste.
There are a lot of worthy causes to support! But I personally don't think NPR is one of them.
