What is the one strategic question you should ask yourself about your business?

I think one of the most important questions is: How do I create a sustainable competitive advantage?

I think the most important question/decision you have to make is what is your value proposition: Low cost, differentiated product or customer relationships everything else drives from these propositions

I like to think about this question: When someone leaves my site or store what is the one thing I want them to remember about my firm?

Most of these questions are growth related. Given the challenges we all face one of the questions I like to ask clients is: What keeps you up at night about your business?

When I pair up my competitors vulnerabilities with my strengths where are my biggest opportunities?

I also like to ask: What can I stop doing that will give me more time to work on things I should be doing? Too many times we are focused on the wrong things.

Although some of the responses touched on this, I like to ask: What strategic value am I offering that no one else has?
