How much do you focus on internal branding?

Well, I am just curious about how much do you / your company focuses on internal branding i.e. marketing your ideas / changes to your own employees?

Internal branding is seriously one of the most important and also one of the most ignored thing! It is your employees who are the lifeline of your company. They are the ones who deal with your customers and are also the face of your company.

Internal branding boils down to motivating your employees / sub-contractors enough to take pride in being associated with your company and hence giving a better customer service / being more productive!

So, how much does your company focus on it?

Quite a lot!

Seriously, branding has never been so important for companies of all sizes from the start up to the globals. Some pay little attention to it but it's a key aspect of business these days.

A lot of us don't have employees, or sub-contracotors, so there isn't exactly much internal branding we can do.

Eagle, I think it all depends on the type of business. For a small web/graphic design business, in most of the cases, branding isn't a necessity. Some sort of branding won't hurt, but it's not crucial for the business to be sucessful.

I do, however, agree many businesses that would benefit from branding are too ignorant/stupid to realise it.

At my job there is alot of branding in regards to both products and changes. The branding of the products seems okay for the most part, but the branding of the changes is just the corporate spin or the ra-ra speach or any number of less than enthusiastic names.

On my site, we make extensive use of branding both internally and externally and the success has been nothing less than outstanding. Its gone beyond branding and into the realm of culture, a sure a sign as any that you did your job right.
