help with business pla?

does anyone know any good sites that would give a good layout of how i should write out a business plan?

I would search for business plans in your industry for example if it was landscaping. Search google for "Landscaping Business Plans" you will find that there is quite of bit of free examples of business plans that you can quickly adapt to your needs.

The best format is very simple answer these three questions:

1. Where are we today? Current State
2. Where do we want to go? Future State
3. How are we going to get there? Gap

you may want to go on the Malcolm Baldridge award site it has some questions that companies must answer when they go through the planning process that is quite helpful

I agree look at the questions the contestants have to respond to and ask those questions of your organization it is an interesting exercise

If you haven't referenced, the US Small Business Administration at www.sba.gov is great with respect to business templates per industry. I have utilized a number of these templates for my own company.
