Unsecured Line of Credit

Hi All,

I am currently evaluating banks to get a line of credit from. Bank of America is willing to lend upto* 100k in an unsecured loc whereas Wachovia, BB&T all want collateral.

Does anyone have any recommendations other good lending institution recommendations?

Re: Unsecured Line of Credit

It is difficult to get an unsecured line of credit without an consistant income stream coming in. If you have that I would try a local bank or credit union. If you do not have that I would recommend you look at alternative funding sources from brokers or venture cap firms.

Particularly after the credit crisis getting money is harder than it ever was. The best thing you can do is to find a white knight - a private investor who will provide you with the load and not get that involved in the business.

Re: Unsecured Line of Credit

I have an unsecured line of credit from Wells Fargo that I took out 3 years ago to remodel a duplex that I bought.

They gave me a very high limit, only because I have been banking with WF since 1989.

Try them, it was easy and they didn't any collateral

Re: Unsecured Line of Credit

What are you looking at getting an unsecured line of credit for?

Is it something that you can either save for or pay cash for?

Your business will run much better if you decide to do this.

Depending on what type of business you are in I may be able to help. I can advance up to $150,000. Unsecured with minimal paperwork. Shoot me an email and tell me what type of business you are in.
