Trying to get a start.

I am 27 ears old in bible college, married with 5 kids. I want to start an Ebay business. I worked for a sports collectables store as a manager and was making the man like $3,000 a month in sales. He closed the store cause the overhead was killing him (considering first sports collectables have a terrible mark up, like $95 for a box of cards you sell for $110, and also there was 3 other stores doing the same thing in a 10 mile radious.) He descided to make the $3k from his home and have a life, then he just quit doing it all together. (P.S. the $3k was JUST ebay sales.) So now here I am with a little amount of cash to get something going and a meeting set up to get my business liscence.. WHAT I NEED is liquadators and low cost wholesellers to buy from. I found 2 places to get items real cheap but I need more. I plan on using the business to get me through school and then to pay for mission trips for my ministry. If you have ideas and concerns and just GENERAL wisdom I would sure like to here it. At least I know how to hustle on Ebay, I just need more cheap products. StLRook

Could you possible go sports collectible like you were going in your job before, if the guy you were working for gave it away and isnt doing it any more, then he may be willing to give you the contacts that you need. Maybe they might even have clearenace gear that you could buy up and sell.

I thought of that , however..I worked for him 3 years ago and the store is closed. his # is unlisted and I moved 3 hours from his home. I lost his cell phone #. I can't get ahold of him. Also like I said, The mark up is horrible in sports collectables. The real mark up was from items he sold on ebay that where non-sports. like one time had a pallet of watches sent to store he got for like $1.50 a watch. Sold em for $5 and made a killing. Thats what I want to do..find people liquadating items. Thanks for the responce.

Maybe take a look at httP://www.alibaba.com, I dont know that it lists liquidators. But there are a lot of Asian Sources here, you may be able to get some products from them at low prices which you can make a profit on.

I found a paper called Closeout news from California. I hear it is the Ebay bible and has some great deals. Others trying to do what I am might find it usefull. Like $42 for a 1 year prescription. StLRook
