You must have heard the phrase - Do this or we will kill the bunny - a lots of times! Someone took it too seriously and started SaveToby.com.

The person running this site claims to have found an injured, young rabbit under a porch one day, and then nursed it back to health. He then named the rabbit Toby.

This person swears that he will have Toby butchered and served for dinner on June 30, 2005, unless he is able to raise $50,000 in donations or merchandise sales. If he is able to raise the money, he then promises that Toby will forever live the life of a king.

Will Toby live or die remains to be found on June 30, 2005 but this stunt has already raised over $18000 for the person running the site and some nice publicity for him (I myself found about his news on GoDaddy Founder Bob Parson's Blog)!

What a con-artist. I'm glad I don't know where he lives.
