Business Incubators

For those unaware, a Business Incubator is concept which provides benefits for small businesses such as low-cost facilities, general equipment or staff (computers and secretary), etc.

Has anyone ever participated in one, and if so, what'd you think?

If you weren't happy, or have heard bad things, could you elaborate on why and what?

Thanks!

yes I did..

I was a volunteer and then a teacher at a business incubator in NC. There is actually a national association of business incubators, too.

Great idea. I watched businesses fold, and others grow so large they had to move.

I've looked into them here in the Boston area (it's time for me to move out of the home office). But, I've found them to be at least as expensive as getting my own space (though the locations might be considered better by some people). In the end, I've decided that leaving the Boston area is the best solution.
