Apple to take over TiVo?

Well, the news has been doing rounds for some days now that Apple is looking to buy TiVo and so are Time Warner, Liberty Media, Comcast, and Sony (which used to make TiVo boxes).

"What we hear on the street is that Apple is interested in their business and that they are a takeout target," said analyst Steven Kroll Jr. of Monness, Crespi, Hardt & Co.

Representatives for Apple and TiVo both declined comment.

Though they both have declined to comment but it does seem logical as Apple is in consumer electronics business now.

What do you think about it and how do you think it will affect both the companies?

Apple makes quality products and they are very innovative. I think Apple has the resources and the ability to take Tivo in a direction that would include playback of "traditional" computer type media files.
