Re: Any Illinois Members? ADT, one of the proposals that I put together for one of my clients who was trying to do the same thing on the residential side, ie. broker, homelender, handyman, movers was to recommend that they spend a little bit of money to do two things: -put down a formal agreement as to how they would work together -develop a website for all of them to present a full service solution to the client This takes work and you can run into obsticles but I am sure no one else is doing it!

Re: Any Illinois Members? Yea I definitely thought of the written agreement because it shows the client that I am really serious about getting things done (and they get their money). I thought of the website too but it would take the effort of all parties involved to develop the site (very difficult). I thought about just creating a simple website myself so people could log on and check out the various solutions I have to offer for their business without the pressure of a sales "pitch". Thanks for your advice, I am going to start developing a better strategy to reach new business.

Re: Any Illinois Members? We have done a similar thing if you put the website up and draw up a simple contract you will find it is not as difficult as you think. Most people think it is and thats why they do not do it - which is a good thing for you. Regarding the referrals - the best people you can have as part of this partnership are people that you already have a relationship with. Then referral fees become less of a tracking issue becaue people trust you.
