Vonage? Anyone here use them?

Howdy folks, I've been considering using Vonage for my office phone line. I was wondering if anyone here use them, and can comment on the quality.

Hi Peter,

I haven't every used the service, so my reply is not personalized. I do know of several people who use the service and are really happy with it. I have not heard anything negative regarding the company or the service.

Karen

Vonage works great - I highly recommend

We have multiple Vonage lines at our business and it has worked out great. I would say that 99.5% of the time - you will not be able to tell the difference between a Vonage call and a regular landline.

We intend on continuing to use this service - especially for any employees who telecommute to work for us. The call logging feature of both inbound and outbound calls is a nice touch and naturally - you can't beat the cost effectiveness of the service.

Vonage works!

I have been using Vonage for a month now and am still undecided about it. It works fine most of the time, but it has a habit of cutting and breaking at the worst moments possible. It couldn't be the internet connection because the highest speed from the Cable Internet company, which is said to be a 5mbps line. However, I must say for most of the times it simply works.

Have you read any of the reviews at DSLReports.com?

Just like with anything else, there seems to be some mixed results.

Are you intending to port your number? It seems that most of the VOIP providers are a bit behind in being able to do this smoothly, if at all.

Good luck.

Chris B.

In the last 5 years, how often have you had Internet problems of some sort, from national virus slowdowns and major companies disconnecting from the network to save their systems down to local ISP problems or even your computer down.

In the last 5 years, how often have you picked up your business phone and not gotten a dialtone?

I have Vonage for a few weeks now and have had no complaints. Their on-line setup/config is pretty cool. You can have voicemail emailed to you! Plus, I've cut my phone bill in HALF.
