| I use eFax. Monthly fee is decent and cheaper than the cost of toner and paper for my fax machine, wish it was free.

| You could also look into http://www.faxaway.com/ which charges per minute to send faxes. 11 cpm weekdays, 10 cpm weekends. There is a $1 monthly maintenance fee and a minimum $10 deposit to open an account. I couldn't find the thread you were referencing either. Of course, I just got here yesterday. Good luck in your search. Chris B. |

| Here's a clever trick: (1) sign up for the free eFax account (don't worry about the non-local area code they give you) (2) Get a toll free number through AT&T, MCI, or wherever and have them point the toll-free number to your eFax number. This way you only pay per minute of inbound faxes. There is a 20-30 fax/month limit on the free account at eFax, but hey, if you go over the limit, just register another free number and re-point your toll-free number... ahh... dont you just love streamlining operations?? | Funny this came up today! I've been using the free eFax deal for several years. Suddenly, this very day, I get an email from them saying they have shut it down. I can still buy their $ 12.95 a month service, but the freebie is gone. However, it might be I used up my alloted time. You may still be able to get a free one. I know I'd been with them at least 2 years, probably 3. I've got a second phone line in my house, and have always had a fax machine for sending, but liked the incoming on the net, since it saved paper. |

| J2.com is another company that you may want to look into. It is very similiar to eFax except I believe they still do have a free option. We have been using J2 for years now and have several e-fax numbers with them and it has worked out great. |

| You may like to try a free web to fax service. There is a catch in not area is available but there is a tool to look up what numbers are covered and what are not. The UK has complete coverage and I use the service a lot for there. http://www.tpc.int/ Cheers Pete |

| Check your computer first, often you have something to use on your computer http://www.k7.net/about.htm I'm using this one for the 5 faxes I get yearly. It is free, however, you receive a Seattle area code (206). http://www.americanvoicemail.com/ http://www.efax.com http://www.onebox.com http://www.j2.com/jconnect/twa/page/homePage
