Does anyone know a place where you can get an idea on how much you should charge for an ad space on your website?

The best way for you to find out is to see what your competitors are charging for ad space and use seo tools to determine approximate traffic.

Alexa would be the traffic tool to use unless somebody knows of another.

I would go to some of the advertising sites that are out there and see how much they would pay for your traffic and us them as a benchmark

Forgot to mention, try dnScoop - Domain Name Value, History, Stats Tool and Forums this site can give you an idea on how much you should expect to pay or receive if they are advertising on your site
