I am not going deep into the index though, just the top 20 for the most SERPs. My harder ones I am working on I just moved up to 49(yeah!) I was 80 something. But with that SERP I have been 40 something a few months ago. :-) It is a SERP that you need to keep up with it! Stacey |

But I don't know all of your SERPs you watch. I hope it is a glitch. Stacey |

Check on scroogle as I was dropped by the Allegra update for a keyword, but that same keyword is now ranging between 1 - 6th position depending on the DC and a few DC's that keyword is not even appearing. It maybe waiting to catch up on all the other DC's HTH plh Paul ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |

One of my sites has slipped > around 100 places for ALL major terms I found this - it seems to fit what I have seen: Strait, a number of people here (but mostly on WMW) are seeing an update happening over the last few days. A lot of people, however, see no changes at all. Apparently, something is going on, but it hasn't yet affected a broad range of terms. Here's my guess. As each new update happens, another segment is affected. September affected segment A, December affected segment B, February affected segment C, March affected segment D, and May is affecting segment E. I don't know what the criteria is for which segments are chosen, but the same outcome is happening to a select group of sites each time, but the groups are different. My next guess is that Google is unable or unwilling to apply the update to the entire index, so it is doing it piecemeal every 45-55 days or so. Each time it happens, a group of people feel the heat, while a large group does not. Eventually, over the next few months, everyone (nearly) will have gone through the fire. from http://forums.seochat.com/t34148/s.html There's definitely something (bad) happening. Jez. |

Google in it quest to rid the net of spam too often throws the baby out with the bath water. |
