I have osCommerce running on an internal web using apache server under linux and it runs great. Uploaded to hosting site, runs well with a few exceptions,database backup, define languages and file manager under admin do not work. The problem looks like a path problem. Here is one of the errors:
Warning: dir(/home/public_html/): failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/internat/public_html/oscommerce/catalog/admin/file_manager.php on line 178

The configuration.php file are the same and the hosting site says it is not with them. 2 days on this with no solution!
If you have any suggestions please advise.

Operator error. On the hosting computer, the absolute path in the configure.php for admin was incorrect.
