Anti-Corporate Websites gaining notice

The world wide web has always been a medium for people to express thier thoughts and opinions on everything and anything, including - if not directly specializing in - the troubles many people face when dealing with certain corporations.

Some of these frustrated indivuals have chosen to vent thier anger in the creation of websites that directly cricize the companies and thier specific policies but if the bad exposure of hundreds of thousands of hits each month just weren't enough - Forbes brings these sites to an even greater audience by rounding up what they feel are the 9 best anti-corp sites on the net today.

- KB HOME
- PAYPAL
- ALLSTATE
- MICROSOFT
- AMEX
- WALMART
- VERIZON
- UNITED AIRLINES
- UPS

Do you think these sites are making a difference? Hurting the corporate image? Feel that theres a site out there that should've made the list? Why not share!

Yes, I firmly believe so... Here's an incident that helped me reconfirm my belief :

Jennifer Rice of What's your Brand Mantra? had a bad experience with Comcast and she made a rant about it on her blog. Ah well, here's the result of what she did -

No, I guess. If the corporation is smart, they would use this as a tipping point and introspect and try to improve on it! However, if the corporation is dumb enough to not listen to what their customers have to say... well, they ought to be exposed like that.

But what if that site is actually an extortion call? Well, here's an example for you if that site is in reality an extortion site -

Original Rant site - google-watch.org
Anti Rant Site - google-watch-watch.org
