Pay to be submitted to search engines

Is it worth the investment to have your site submitted to search engines?

I dont think that it is because if they are a top search engine they will pick you up on their robots that scan the internet

I agree they are eventually going to be picked up so I would not pay the money.

I agree with these comments that it is a waste of money - there are a lot of unscrupulous firms that market submissions for a fee and its too bad

Unfortunately we fell for the sales pitch and have regretted our investment.

In my view no, I think as site owners we should submit our own site to search engines. I have started submitting my own site and I can see the benefit now for doing so.
