Calling Franchises

My wife is considering buying a franchise and we were wondering rather than dealing with a sales person she would call the franchises directly and get the the heart of the franchise before she got serious about it. It seems to me with one or two calls you would know pretty quickly - I just do not know if this is approapriate any thoughts or ideas would be helpful.

Re: Calling Franchises

I think it is totally appropriate and remember the Franchisor is only going to give you the names of franchisees that are happy so it is in your interest to contact other franchises to get the real scoop.

Re: Calling Franchises

I agree we did it when we were looking at some franchises. You will find, however, that some franchisees will be more willing to talk with you than others
