Bike fishing rod holder

I was thinking of manufacturing a rod holder that would be attached to a bike so you can easily carry your rod to your favorite fishing spots. What do you think? How much would you pay for it?

Re: Bike fishing rod holder

The biggest question is how large the market is because a lot of people hike, take a boat to their fishing hole. I wonder how many people can ride their bikes to their favorite watering hole?

Being an avid fisherman, I think the idea is great. I would try to market beach resorts where you can ride bikes on the beach i.e. New England and many Atlantic Beaches versus lets say Florida

I agree it could be a hard target market to get at. It could appeal to kids that do not have cars yet again you have to find a kid in close proximity to fishing that likes to fish - a very narrow market

Re: Bike fishing rod holder

I bought one a couple of years ago it attaches to the back wheel, I would make sure you thoroughly evaluate the competition because there may lot of companies making them.
