Beach cart

Every time we go to the beach we use a cart to carry all of our junk and I thought it would be a great idea to make a custom cart for the beach ie. have a place to attach an umbrella, treys for drinks, built in cooler. What do you think would you buy something like that? Is the market big enough?

Re: Beach cart

I like the idea I can tell you how tired my arm are after carrying all our stuff to the beach. I would have a retractable umbrella with it and a draw or place you could put sun tan lotion.

Re: Beach cart

I would make sure that the tires are very wide to be able to be pulled through the sand. I would also make sure that you made the cart out of a non rustable material.

Re: Beach cart

I would do some research first there are a lot of carts that are avialable and for those that prefer alternative transportation we use a garden cart that works well. Because garden carts are more popular and less expensive you may want to consider adapting a cheap garden cart with a beach option. It could save you a lot of money and they have already built the most expensive aspect of the cart - you could partner with an existing manufacturer

I agree with Tools75 - I would approach a manufacture with your idea and prototype. The only thing that you have to consider is how many people would buy it. Many beach front or close to beach front property are rentals and they are not going to buy it, you will have to find beach owners.
