What should you expect to pay

How much would you expect to pay a small businesses lawyer for doing some contract review/revisions for you - I know it will vary but how much should I expect to pay per hour?

Re: What should you expect to pay

As with anything it all depends, some of the variables include:

-Size of the law firm
-Previous business with them
-Scope of the work
-Whether you use a partner or jr associate

Regardless it will be expensive I would make sure you limit the scope of work

I think you should expect to pay anywhere between $100-$250 per hour.

Re: What should you expect to pay

I think for most small business problems you should expect to pay at the lower end of that range. Of course there are a lot of variables.

I agree if you get a junior associate you should be able to negotiate a fee in the lower range

Re: What should you expect to pay

In the past if we felt the work was not that complicated we used a paralegal to keep our cost down if you find a good one they can be as good as a new lawyer

These numbers are high! You must have expensive lawyers for friends or you live in expensive cities we have always paid less than $100
