Stock Certificates

Does anyone know if you set up a LLC or C corp do you actually have to have a physical certificate for documentation?

I do not think that you have to have a formal certificate but they are inexpensive to purchase so you might as well do it right

After a little more research I found you do have to have some certificates for some circumstances i.e. if requesting disability and you have to prove the legality of a business
