Re: How to save on taxes?

You often underestimate how much you can write off, for example your office in your house or most type of mailing - even some personal stuff

Most people do not keep track of their travel in their cars which could provide you a lot of savings

Re: How to save on taxes?

If you can avoid it I would try to manage your salary if you own the business. Just pay you a salary when you need it and if you dont invest it back in the business.

Re: How to save on taxes?

The IRS has some good resources Small Business and Self-Employed One-Stop Resource but I think the most important thing you can do is save receipts and properly account for everything. Many people wait until the last minute to try to think of all the things they can write off and find out they forgot a lot of things that could of been written off.

Re: How to save on taxes?

One of the easiest ways to save on taxes as a small business owner is to know where to save in the first place. And you don't have to hire an accountant either (necessarily). A lot of small business owners are doing their own taxes/accounting with software programs and you might consider trying this. If nothing else, doing your own accounting will make you a better informed business owner. The following article gives some good advice about which programs are recommended:

Hope this helps!

Thumbs up Re: How to save on taxes?

Hi,

Tax Planning is not that difficult task once you have sorted out every facts needed, in detail. For example wouldn’t you love to take up offer if it said that you could save as much as $2,500 for a trip to Las Vegas? Tax planning is also somewhat same. Stay determined on the advantages in early planning of taxes, and you are sure to benefit.

It doesn’t hurt to take advice from someone professional or expert in this field. You are certain to get best possible advices. Their services might not be cheap, but it will surely help you in saving much tax money than you might have imagined.
