How long will no online taxes last

Related to the online taxes thread. How long do you think the US Government will allow for no tax collection on Internet sales outside of your state? Do you think it is here to stay or do you think the new congress may change things?

Revenues to the Gov are at an all time high so I do not think we will see them changing the policy anytime soon.

Re: How long will no online taxes last

I am concerned with the democrats controlling the house and senate that there maybe some rethinking in this area. Fortunately the state with the most people (California) probably have the most to loose if the tax is imposed.

Re: How long will no online taxes last

I think that the tax break is going to be here for a long time and the longer it is the more resistance there will be to change it because the lobbying will become stronger. We can only hope anyways!
