I am excel literate but wanted peoples thoughts on software, my choices are:
1) Roll my own excel sheets
2) Buy peachtree
3) Buy quickbooks
4) Buy quicken premier/small biz

I use QuickBooks and highly recommend it. Peachtree is similar, but I have not used it. At a minimum, I'd suggest using some type of program to manage your business because at the end of the year it'll be easier to generate reports.

As for which program is right for you, it depends on your needs.
