It was on sunday night that NBC presented American Dreams with no commercial breaks!!! Well, there was just one long Ford commercial at the end of the episode.

In the episode, JJ Pryor, who had been wounded in Vietnam, returned home to his family after having been listed MIA. The emotions were high in this episode and would have certainly been ruined by the forced interruption advertising.

In the commercial, which was based on the plot of the episode, a son is seen coming home from Iraq to his family. Ford cars were seen playing a role in the commercial, as well as in the episode, but in a natural way. It could be called Product Placement rather than a commercial!
