Where is the best place to advertise

We are starting a business that will require about $50,000 in seed capital preferably from someone who will be a silent partner or angel investor. What is the best place to advertise or find these types of investors. We have tried putting an ad in the local newspaper and it cost us a few hundred and we got no viable leads. Any ideas?

The newspaper is a broad base medium and you need to find a direct market - one who has the same tests as your target market. Online is a great way to find your target market and focus your advertising campaigns

$50,000 is not a lot of money. Rather than focus on getting Angel investors you may want to find areas where accountants spend their time online. You maybe able to find not only an investor with them but also an advisor.

I agree accountants would be the best target audience and they can help you along the way. The other group you should consider looking at is consultants try searching for independent consultant associations here is one:

AIC2000.org - Association of International Consultants

Thanks for your offer, however, I was fortunate to find another member on the site earlier who funded the project
