| Looking for investors to start a business I have put together a business plan and i am currently hunting down investors. i am looking to raise about 60% in investor equity and finance the other 40% from a bank. my question is, in the operating agreement, how do i divide up as to who owns what. if the investors own 60% and the bank owns the other 40%, what do i own. do i own the 40% debt that is owed back to the bank. i need some help on this issue to clearify exactly what i may own in this circumstance. |

| Re: Looking for investors to start a business It is all based upon what you value the company at. The note from the bank is not ownership based thats why it is a loan they will only loan you money if they think you will have the cash flow to pay the note off. In terms of your investors you have to determine the value of a share of your company and give them 60% of the shares.
