Educational Software Funding

My company has developed a online script which shows students step by step how to solve math problems. The issue is we want to keep it free to the public but funding it is the problem.

At the moment, the only way we have come up with is companies paying for sponsorships.

So any other thoughts on how my company could fund it; that would be great. Also, if your company is interested in sponsoring; let me know.

The site is:
TeachExplain.com - A calculator which shows step by step how to solve math problems.

I hope in the future to add algebra, trig, calculus, and any other math subjects which could help students.

Last, any thoughts on the script itself or design are more than welcome.

Re: Educational Software Funding

You may want to consider putting an = sign on the calculator pad some people are just use to tapping that.

In terms of funding you may want to consider putting together math worksheets and offering the first one for free and then offer a membership for full access other sites have done this and they appear successful.

Re: Educational Software Funding

Could you possibly list some other sites you know of? I would appreciate it and I am in the process of adding an equal (=) sign. Only issue with adding an = is if someone is doing algebra and they want to do a+1=4 so the = will still not work as most would think...

Re: Educational Software Funding

Because your domain is fairly generic you could easily broaden out into other areas i.e. you could sell an ebook on learning. The site needs more content for people to come back to.
