I've had a teacher who was a loan officer, and he believes that there is no limit to how long your business plan is. If its a simple operation and its in 4-5 pages, so be it. But if you're planning on starting another Microsoft or something, and you have to be very specific, then 15-20 pages may be needed. Don't worry about the length though, this isn't a resume in the sense that if its too long, they'll throw it out. They want to read something that looks good and at the same time will sell yourself.

I'm presuming that you are creating a plan for funding. 10-20 pages is usual for a bank to see.

However, if you get all the facts on 4-5 pages, then that's the right size.
