| Thanks for all the great info Kent! I'm lovin' it! But, as usual, one can never fulfill the need for more info. I'll think of more questions!

| Who would be a good source to contact about potential advertisers for my magazine? Or, let's take it from an advertiser's point of view. If I were a company that wanted to advertise in magazines, who would I turn to? Is there a type of company that handles this? I know, I could probably look this up on the internet, but I prefer to chat about it with real people instead of reading articles. Thanks!

| You could also start this as a web based magazine. Build a readership (and some revenue) and eventually offer a print version. The advantages of this: 1 - SPAM free mailing list 2 - Established list of advertisers that already advertise with your online mag. 3 - Builds capital revenue 4 - Saves on start up costs 5 - It's one heck of a market research tool to determine demand. Probably quite a few more advantages but those just come to mind

| You could and just joing the myriad of failing magazine web sites out there. Why is it that this generation is so web-centric? Not everything will work on the web especially now that its sooooooo huge. You can't start a webzine with controlled circulation. Now don't think its just a list, what difference does it make if I email the mag to them or mail it to them? About as much difference as having *** with a woman or a camel. I'm not going to take the time to explain all the details, but just take my word for it. You'll do better starting with a real world pub then go to a webzine. Most reputable mags and newspapers are also now on the web. The used to be free to read, but not any more, most are starting to charge a subscription fee (and rightly so). Hope this helps. | I've got to agree with this one. Most of the big magazines out there were published on paper before they went electronic on us! Published magazines may cost more to produce but people are more apt to read a magazine rather than something off the web. LOL! I was just thinking of this question: Which would you rather take with you to the rest room? A magazine or your desktop? Or your lap-top even! Web-centric... hehe, yes we are, but I think magazines should always start on paper. Then move on to the web as a means to gather more customers. The web is a good way to find a lot of information. It's the information super-highway for pete's sake! But where are those guys that clean it up? I would compare the internet to an unkempt, dirty highway. No one to clean up the garbage... agree or not? Well, that was off subject, but anyways... Till Next Post....

| One man's garbage is another's treasure. I would have to live in a library somewhere without the internet.
