I think everyone is the same. When you first start out on the net you pick a username and stick with it.

I started using the web nearly 10 years ago and still use the same nick/username for everything.

(When I was 15 it seemed cool)

Mine was sort of inherited. I post on alot of deal sites and I have a spam email address--allkindsofjunk@****** I orginally used allkindsofjunk but users on the forums shortened it to akoj. Someone along the way sent me an Oscar the Grouch for an avatar. I have stuck with it ever since. I usually have one or the other on any board.
