As a small business owner, what is the one thing that you would do over if you had a chance to?

I would take more time getting ready and developing my business plan before I pulled the switch and went into business for myself. It always taked longer than you thought and you make less than you think you will.

We over invested in some things i.e. web design and seo work and under invested in others i.e. marketing

We hired some people that could not grow with the company - you need good athletes people who can play multiple positions we hired some good full backs but that is all they could do.

We underestimated the costs of running the business by about 20% and over estimated revenues by 15%. As a result things got off to a slow start.
