is it me?

or are the forums here in the US really slow, what i mean is that there is very little activity going on, the UK forums are a lot more busy active and friendly. Or am I missing something?

Re: is it me?

I think what you will find in the US forums is that there are a lot more people who just look at posts than actively participate in them. I was on this forum yesterday and there were 35 other people on at the same time but only one person appeared to be posting.

Re: is it me?

I agree there are a lot of people who just come to this site and others for information but do not participate - hopefully that will change.

Re: is it me?

When I look for a forum I look for the quality of the posts not the number of posts. The forum must have some decent activity but I have been on plenty of forums where there is a lot of activity but no value added answers/discussions.

Re: is it me?

The use of online business forums in the UK is light-years ahead of the US. I've also found that US forums are a huge magnet for spammers - and that the admins are quite happy to let them spam.

Re: is it me?

It obviously depends on which forum you are looking at.
I am a regular at a handful of business forums which are very active and an occassional visitor at the slower, less active ones.

I have very recently started my own business start up forum (see signature) and it is going to take time to develop a good membership. There are lots of lurkers however. I am hoping the visitors will jump in with their start up questions and it snowballs from there.

Take a peek.
