How Can This New YouTube Feature Help Your Business?

Hi Sisters & Brothers,

YouTube has an option for displaying High Quality clips on its site (and yours if you have embedded them on your company’s webpage/s).

In short, if you create TWO versions of your promotional video, a normal quality one and a bigger (file-size-wise) HQ version, YouTube will automatically direct the viewer to the HQ version if it has the characters, “&fmt=18” at the end of the URL of any video.

For example,

Normal quality

High quality

With the widespread use of broadband now, it makes sense to promote your business with the best quality video possible via this YouTube feature.

By adding “&fmt=18” at the end of the URL of any video you embed from OTHER sites via YouTube, you will also make sure that your customers see the best quality version of those too.
