Dell's response to Best Buy

Best Buy recently said that they only care about the customers that make them money - and while that may certainly be the driving force behind any company, telling that to your customers certainly doesnt win you any points.

Well, ... turns out Dell is captilizing on this latest PR blunder with the following series of advertisements.

Wow! I love this ad. But it is kinda amazing [in better words -- SHOCKING!] statement from BestBuy.

BestBuy has been screwing up customer service for the last 10 years. They don't care about any customer really. They just want your money and to get you out of the store. Dell isn't the only one to take advantage of this. Recently Circuit City moved their local store to be right across the street from Best Buy. They have been advertising that they will match Best Buy's prices and treat you with respect for free.

BestBuy also has a pushy sales team... they all get together like a football team before a game and "pump up" before trying to sell people more than they need. The few times I've been in a BestBuy I have someone on my heels the whole time trying to get me to buy more than I came for.

I went into a Best buy in St. Louis, Mo to buy a lap top computer. Their service was by far lacking, and I had a talk with the store manager before I took my cash with me back home.

Yeah, I don't bother. I just take my Best Buy ad into Circuit City and talk to the people there.

Never had a bad experience with Best Buy so ths was news to me. I guess they forgot how important customer services is. Well, they'll understand how important it is when the customers stop showing up.

I can see where Best Buy is coming from. 20% is a lot, but then they probably have better info than my intuition. There are plenty who will try and screw 'em, I'm sure.
