MINIMUM WAGE - *Anybody* who's done business in the American
business world knows that it's a dog-eat-dog, all-or-nothing
proposition. You either do everything that you can to maximize
your corporate profits, or else your poor company will quickly
go out of business. That's just the way it is. Your bankers and
shareholders demand maximum return on their investments before
you even get to turn the key. Nowadays, the only viable business
plans are those which absolutely guarantee results by which the
bankers and investors are totally and legally assured a healthy
profit on their precious investments. Therefore, let those who
work for minimum wage stop complaining, quit their menial jobs,
and go into business for themselves and make a fortune...right!
The bottom line is it's all about supply and demand. The supply
of uneducated menial labor vastly exceeds the demand for their
services. It's that simple. Be glad that there's even a minimum
wage--as paltry as it is--to begin with. The poorest people in
America live like kings and queens compared with a significant
percentage of those suffering in horribly impoverished third-
world countries, where rampant disease, starvation, genocide,
and other everyday obstacles to daily survival take millions
of lives each year. So stop your whining and get back to work!
And if it makes you feel any better, remember well the parable
of the workers in the vineyard [Mat 20:1-16], and that no soul
can devoutly worship both God and mammon [Mat 6:24, Luk 16:13],
and that it would be easier to thread not only a camel's hair
but the whole camel(!) through the eye of a needle than it is
for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven [Mat 19:24,
Mar 10:25]. So stop complaining about the love of money which
is the root of all evil [I Tim 6:10], and give thanks to God!
The great day of Judgment is approaching. Will *you* be ready?
SIX MILLION DOLLARS - That's what the Italian Prime Minister
Silvio Berlusconi reportedly donated to Al-Qaeda/Al-Zarqawi,
allegedly to release the notoriously Anti-American communist
news reporter Giuliana Sgrena (of Il Manifesto infamy) from
her terrorist captors. Next thing you know, she's *free* and
en route after sunset at blazing speeds toward a brightly-lit
American checkpoint along a very dangerous stretch of Baghdad
highway which is well-known for terrorist carbombs, ambushes
and the like. The speeding car alarmingly fails to yield to
repeated highly-audible and highly-visible warnings to stop.
Then it happens. BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! The soldiers act properly
and stop the threatening vehicle by using appropriate force.
End result? The pinko reporter is wounded, but survives and,
forsooth, she proceeds to blame *Americans* for the incident!
Also, Al-Qaeda and their genocidal sympathizers are 6 million
American dollars richer! That'll buy plenty of materials that
they need to assemble and deliver lethal WMDs on American and
allied targets. So Thanks, Mr. Berlusconi & Ms. Sgrena. We're
all very grateful to you for aiding & abetting the terrorists!
Fortunately, not all Italians are communists, but rather are
staunch allies of the United States: To *you*, God bless you.
HOLLYWOOD DEADWOOD - To be sure, the demonstrable quality of
television programming has gradually improved over the years.
Digital cable and satellite, high definition, DVD, very-high
resolution plasma, LCD and newer hybrid wide-screen displays,
100s of channels to choose from, such technological advances
and ever-increasing sophistication and expectations of both
viewers and producers have elevated 21st-century television
to its loftiest heights ever. It's a bit ironic, given that
Hollywood's pre- and post-election left-wing liberal grand-
standing has had little (if any?) effect on garnering votes
for their self-defeating radically Anti-American candidates.
In that sense, Hollywood is politically-inviable "deadwood",
while by stark contrast HBO's 'Deadwood' is magnificent and
top-notch (as is 'The Sopranos' et al high-tension programs).
As if by magic, high-quality television programming is being
cranked out notwithstanding all the immorality and criminal
debauchery of Hollywood's radical liberal left-wing fanatics.
No doubt, this is because true art is for art's sake. Art is
both sacred -AND- sacrilegious in every form it takes. This
is because beauty, and its fundamental contrasting component
ugliness, is sensed, perceived & interpreted by the beholder.
A saintly, pious and devoutly virtuous soul would likely find
practically all television programming primitive and repulsive.
Whereas your typical left-wing liberal is never satisfied that
the criminal-insanity envelope has been pushed far enough into
the abyssal of chaos and lawlessness. So it's all a matter of
personal taste. I've always enjoyed the "good guy vs. bad guy"
scenarios as the basis for the most entertaining and gripping
movies and television programs--whether they be fictional or
otherwise; TV shows like Cops, AMW, Psychic Detectives, CSI,
24, American Justice, etc., law-enforcement and warfare are
my favorite subjects. That's why I'd like to see more in the
way of reality-based programs on violent criminals, including
their complete rap-sheets, names and addresses--including the
names and addresses of the liberal judges and lawyers who gave
these heinous criminals a "get out of jail free" card" thereby
enabling them to go out and commit further acts of nauseating
and often lethal violence against (relatively)innocent people.
Now *THAT* would take reality TV to the next level. Just think
of the ratings? And viewers would witness first-hand the sorry
state of the present-day criminal justice system. Entertaining
with a capital 'E'! For example, we should have televised live
the dangerously-violent criminal Brian Nicols' recent shooting
in that milquetoast left-wing liberal Atlanta courtroom. Cool!
And we could follow the free-on-bond violent criminals around
while they rob, carjack, kidnap, ****, torture & murder young
children, and enjoy their undeserved jury trials while their
liberal ACLU lawyers punish the victim's family, and get the
violent criminals off on technicalities all day long. Okay?
