Small Business Procedures

We were trying to find some pre-written business procedures that we could customize for ourselves and were wondering if any of you have used or bought a package and if it was worth the investment.

Re: Small Business Procedures

It would be great if you found a reasonably priced procedures most of the ones I found are too comprehensive for a small business. Let me know.

Re: Small Business Procedures

I dont think that you could find an off the shelf procedure that could work in your business without a lot of tweaking and once you have done all that work you maybe better off not doing it at all and save the money.

Re: Small Business Procedures

You will find a lot of universities have their policies on line you can probably get some good ideas from them but I agree at the end of the day it is a lot of work to put them together. At my prior firm they did buy some off the shelf package that they were very pleased with because it saved them a ton of time.

Re: Small Business Procedures

Has anyone seen a similar site or company that has written process for data archive? The site above does not seem to have something specific and not a billion dollar solution from EMC, something simple?

Re: Small Business Procedures

I think it maybe too specific the package above which we own as well has a records management policy which covers the topic but probably not to the extent you want.

Re: Small Business Procedures

I'm curious ... is this forum run by 4Expertise? All the referral links are always buried under something like "employee manual" or "business manuals" etc., but they always lead back to 4Expertise. It just seems to be the only site ever referred, which seems very strange.
