Not worth the collective effort that has gone into these replies. I hate them. Give me a list with some vanity and some regular numeric and I won't even try the vanity.

Try reading the letters on your cell phone in the dark!

The best example use of this technique I read about was the use of 789 5 2 - it forms the letter "T" on a telephone and was used by a taxi service.

This is the only such use I can remember and would prefer a catchy number rather than trying to work out the letters.

It's very important to have a number that's easy to remember. My whole thing is quality and trust, there fore my phone number is 888- TRUST -14. 14 means nothing, it was the next number available... But for me it's a branding thing. Everything about my company says quality and trust. Literally.

Now you don't necessarily need a word, this can be done with numbers too. 555-1234 can it be any easier? Just make sure it's easy to remember.
