Payroll provider

Do you do your own payroll or do you use a service provider? If so who do you use?

Re: Payroll provider

We do our own payroll with our accounting software we only have a few employees and it does not seem like it is worth the money to pay for a provider. But of course I am not the one who issues w-2s and paychecks!

Re: Payroll provider

We use ADP for our payroll. However, we have not looked into this lately and I am sure there a software packages out there that would be easy enough to install and do it yourself.

We use paychex whcih we found were better than ADP. In a prior life we used our accountant which worked pretty well.

Re: Payroll provider

We do it ourselves as well, I am not sure why people spend money on an outside provider when you can do it fairly easily with software. I guess it is one less headache to worry about.

Re: Payroll provider

We use Peachtree accounting software. Unless you have 20 or more people I would suggest you just use the module on your accounting software package most of them come with that feature.

Re: Payroll provider

Look into the many online payroll options for small businesses. Costs less, way easier than doing it out of your accounting software, they support small businesses better (depending on the organization), and it is so nice to just have someone take care of it for you.
