| Operations to sales We have some operational people that would like to get into sales but I do not think they have the skill set. They are good employees and I would hate to lose them but I also do not want to lose out in sales. Any suggestions?

| Re: Operations to sales This is a problem that I am sure almost any business owner has faced on more than one occasion. I have made the mistake in the past and have tried to put a square peg in a round hole and it did not work out. It is better for your business to lose that person than to lose the sale. |

| Re: Operations to sales We have found that some of our operation people are some of the best sales people because they truly understand our product and can add real value to the client - also some clients appreciate not have a slick sales person pressuring them into a sale. If they have potential I would give it a try |

| Re: Operations to sales I find that most operational people want to get into sales for more money but do not have the drive and personality to be successful. I think the best thing you can do is try to get them out on some technical sales calls to see how they perform. |
