One person operations Hi - I run two websites and planning a third - They are not specifically a business more a hobby that should pay for itself. I have recently been diagnosed with heart problems. I have had a pacemaker fitted so I can carry on with admin and design as long as I don't do anything too strenuous. I wonder if anyone here who is a OPO has any hints or tips of what to do if illness strikes. How would they manage sales etc. I have no one that is interested or capable of administering the site while I am off sick. anyone have any ideas? Last edited by semeon : 08-30-2007 at 05:35 AM.

Re: One person operations We use a toll free number that is very flexible you can have that number go to any phone number. You could hire someone who could just return calls at a nominal cost or you could return them at your leisure when you feel better. We travel a lot and havent found not being there to answer the phone has been that much of a detriment.

Re: One person operations If you can afford to pay someone to administer the site than I think you can find plenty of people who can do it. Especially if it is mostly backend stuff and email you can try a firm overseas. You can find them at Guru.com - The world's largest online marketplace for freelance talent. if it is more front office stuff you may want to try craigslist: san francisco bay area classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events. Good luck and I hope you fee better.
