Best place for Pre-Printed invoices?

Hi all,

Any recommendations on where I can get some professional pre-printed invoices? Online if possible as I do almost everything online.

I'm using QB2004 and wonder if there are pre-printed invoices that fits in the their formatted margins.

Any tips on doing invoicing is also appreciated. Sw, methods, ideas, etc.

Thanks.

If you are able to edit the templates for the invoices in QB, then you could print your own invoices, there are really a couple of options

1 - Black and White - I do it this way because it is easier just one print and dont have to change the paper when i want to print invoices.
2 - Colour - If you dont do many invoices it is probably just easier to get some 100GSM or Bond paper and do a small run of 20-30 sheets at a time on a ink jet printer, it may cost more but it is just as professional.

Unless you are doing a high volume of invoices do you really need the pre printed invoices. If you still really want to just find a company that will print letterhead, there are plenty, i am not sure which ones are best in the US, can anyone else give an idea.

I have quickbooks print my own invoices, they look very professional and are cusotmized, to look like nobody elses. Personally I feel if you are using quickbooks AND preprinted invoices you are wasting money.

Orion,

I might give the bond paper a try. I think I gotta tinker with the QB invoices, I find the original templates extremely plain. Our last client has asked for the "original" invoice in order for us to get paid. I guess the basic printed ones lack color and feels like a piece of regular paper so she thinks it's not "original".

The bond paper with some colors and logo should do the job.

Yes i find that Bond or paper that is a little heavier then the standard 80gsm holds colour and shows it better, it may cost a little more (eg 500sheet 80gsm $5 300sheet 100gsm $5 (australian prices)) But i find it is worth the investment, i use it for any correspondence, Direct Mail, If i apply for a job for my resume, etc.

Here is a site set up for forum members. They offer NEBS forms (most popular mail-order forms for decades) at a significant discount to forum members.

Checks, invoices, stastements, proposals, PO's and a whole lot more. Many are QB compatible. They have both multi-part and single sheet forms and ship in just a couple of days. I've been using them for years. I also buy their business cards and small labels to stick on the bottoms of giftware I sell.

I played around with QB and found what you can download some nice looking invoices through their websites. Some of these templates have background colors and designs to it. At first I thought you're stuck w/ the basic ones that came w/ the program. FYI for others that may find this useful.
