US - The House of Spam

According to a Sophos study reported by ZDNet -- U.S. again is the homeland of spam. 42 percent of all spam collected in Sophos's network of "honeypots" originated in the U.S. South Korea and China came in a distant second and third, together sending only half as much spam as the U.S.

Sophos warned that many spammers are using hacked PCs with broadband connections to send out their spam. This could explain South Korea's position near the top of the list, as it leads the world for broadband penetration.
