That can be true for most people who simply link to an affiliate provider's site and hope for the best. A true user of Affiliate opportunities will sell the package before they send the customer off to the affiliate provider to pay for it.

Things like AWS sites exemplify this because you can put multiple items in your cart long before the customer goes to the Amazon website to finish the purchase. In this case you are using the Affiliate provider (in this case, Amazon) as your credit card processor and your dropshipper/fulfillment center and you can still make up to 15% profit. That is where the money is. However you still need lots of traffic and promotion to make it work.

Man...Someone please setup a conference call for all that are willing to attend. I am no means an expert, but my 18 months of aggressive affiliate marketing experience is telling me something way different than wayne, and pulsetoday are saying (.1% is NOT high!).

It is all about content, and smart, simple, commonsense marketing.
